Despair Fever Wiki

This page is centered around detailing the unique aspects of each map that is regularly used.

Vanilla Maps[]

df_school[]

Considered to be the most balanced map out of the three. Shutter system limits playing space.
  • There are numerous sinks, fountains, and obscure areas that can be used to hide a body or traces of one.
  • Inside the Janitor's closet, there's a large red furnace with an @ print on it. If you're the Killer, you can dispose any non-weapon item inside once. Note that the furnace will then start emitting smoke to signal that it's been used.
  • Since players will naturally be separated due to the dormitory setup, it's advised to have a radio to ensure that information is quickly relayed between the two areas.
  • Mops can be found at the closet of each dormitory area and at the Janitor's closet. Spray Bottles are a uncommon spawn within the map as well.
  • There's a vent nearby the Condos that allows for easy escaping into the Cafeteria.

df_motel[]

Considered to be favourable to Innocents over the Killer. A sandstorm can limit player vision occasionally.
  • A Ninja mask spawns nearby the Katana hidden within one of the truck trailers.
  • This map has the least amount of weapons available out of the three. (~13 weapons are spawned in naturally)
  • Due to the considerable distance between locales, it's fairly easy to notice when something odd is occurring.
  • Map features the longest sightlines possible out of all the maps.

df_mansion[]

Considered to be favourable to the Killer over Innocents. The map's labyrinthian layout confuses most players.
  • Smallest map out of the three and features four floors alongside a garden area.
  • There are numerous ways for someone to lose a tail due to the various hidden passageways.
  • A murder will be easily heard due to the small size of the map, but it'll take some time before someone is able to get a fix on where it occurred.
  • Due to the height of some areas, players can easily 'cause RDMs or murders from having someone fall.

Non-Vanilla Maps[]

df_campsite[]

A map created by patyos. Dormitories are limited in number, and some have better furnishings than the others.
  • A Mummy mask can occasionally spawn at the graveyard area nearby the Shovel.
  • There are various areas littered throughout the map that allow for comfortable sleeping, but not safe.
  • Much like the furnace in df_school, players can burn a small item at the campfire.
  • Features a large lake that can be used to clean or hide bodies.
